Gift Matches Return for GivingTuesday Donations to Sights for Hope

Sights for Hope has teamed again with AllOne Charities to give donors an opportunity to make a greater impact with their GivingTuesday contributions.

Through AllOne Charities’ Give Day initiative, AllOne will match the first $1,000 in donations made to Sights for Hope on Tuesday, November 29, through the special Give Day website. All gifts to Sights for Hope will support its mission throughout Pennsylvania’s Monroe County and Lehigh Valley.

GivingTuesday – which is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – is a global movement started in 2012 in New York, N.Y., to promote philanthropy during the winter holiday season.

Based in Wilkes-Barre, PA, AllOne Charities works to enhance the present healthcare delivery system of northeast and north central Pennsylvania. Sights for Hope helps increase access to healthcare through its guided transport service. Sights for Hope is one of 49 organizations in northeastern Pennsylvania to participate in AllOne Charities’ 2022 Give Day initiative.

Sights for Hope transforms the lives of people with visual impairments and blindness by removing the barriers to their independence. Sights for Hope’s services teach adaptive skills to accomplish daily life activities; provide supports that counter the effects of visual impairments and blindness; increase access to medical care, healthy food, and other essentials; and advance solutions that enhance sight capabilities. More than 40% of Sights for Hope’s clients live below or near the federal poverty line. Founded in 1928, Sights for Hope carries forward in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley and Monroe County a tradition of service inspired by Helen Keller and is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind.
