Sights for Hope is an independent nonprofit organization with IRS 501(c)(3) status that is funded from several critical sources. We provide our services at little or no cost because of this support.
Private Contributions
Approximately 40% of our funding comes from private contributions – including standard contributions, private grants, bequests and estate gifts, and special event contributions.
Services
Nearly 35% of our funding comes from contracts from government entities and private organizations, sales of assistive devices, and other services-related revenue. Our service contracts include ones with the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB), the County of Lehigh, the County of Monroe, and the Pocono Mountains United Way. Many sales of assistive devices are underwritten by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Blindness and Visual Services (BBVS).
Endowment
The Sights for Hope Endowment Foundation is an affiliated nonprofit organization with its own 501(c)(3) status and Board of Directors. Its mission is to support our organization’s mission. The endowment provides support annually for our operations.
