Lions Club Fishing Day Rescheduled Due to Rain-Soaked Weather Forecast
Sights for Hope has rescheduled its annual Lions Club Day of Fishing for Saturday, May 16, due to the rain-soaked weather forecast for this Saturday.
This popular tradition gives Sights for Hope’s Lehigh Valley and Monroe clients an opportunity to fish alongside members of the Moore Township Lions Club, who provide assistance based on each individual’s needs. Clients participating for the first time experience a chance to try something new, build confidence, and connect with others in a supportive environment.
The rescheduled Lions Day of Fishing be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include breakfast, lunch, and a lighthearted awards ceremony that is often the highlight of the day. Each client will also go home with a fish.
Sights for Hope traces its inception to efforts by Lions clubs from Lehigh and Northampton counties in 1928. Lions organizations from the Lehigh Valley and Monroe County also provide financial support to Sights for Hope annually.
