Agency Seeks Lehigh Valley Clients for Summer Beginner Braille Classes

The Center for Vision Loss wants to hear from clients in Lehigh and Northampton counties who wish to participate in a beginner-level Braille class this summer.

The beginner class will be limited to four clients and would consist of four sessions. Consistent attendance would be required. The classes will be delivered virtually when necessary.

Braille is a system of reading and writing for people with visual impairments in which raised dots represent the letters of the alphabet. It also contains equivalents for punctuation marks and provides symbols to show letter groupings. Braille is read by moving the hand or hands from left to right along each line.
