Sights for Hope Records its Strongest NEPA Gives 24-Hour Campaign to Date

Sights for Hope completed its most successful NEPA Gives 24-Hour Campaign to date on Friday and earned a $1,000 matching contribution from campaign sponsors.

All funds contributed to Sights for Hope through the NEPA Gives campaign platform are used to support its mission and services for Monroe County residents.

Sights for Hope has served Monroe County since 2003. Monroe County residents make up about one-quarter of Sights for Hope’s client population and about 30% of the pre-kindergarten children who receive its free vision screenings.

Sights for Hope earned this year’s NEPA Gives matching contribution from the Moses Taylor Foundation after raising its first $1,000. The organization’s 2026 campaign total exceeded its previous NEPA Gives high from 2024 by more than $1,000.

Produced and managed by the Scranton Area Foundation, NEPA Gives brings together nonprofits serving communities throughout northeastern Pennsylvania. This year’s campaign raised nearly $1.5 million for more than 300 organizations.

Sights for Hope is a nonprofit organization that empowers people to maximize their potential however they see the world. Its programs and services build capabilities and confidence in people who are blind or have visual impairments, equip children to read in kindergarten, and enrich people’s lives with habits that protect their eyesight. Sights for Hope has proudly served Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley since 1928 and Monroe County since 2003. It is an independent member of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB) and the multi-national VisionServe Alliance.
