Sights for Hope Transport Group Marks Milestones and Appointments

Sights for Hope has announced milestones and appointments in its guided transport service group.

Lehigh Valley Transport Coordinator will retire on September 25, and Lehigh Valley Transport Driver Les Schoenberger will retire on December 31. Lehigh Valley Transport Driver Jesus Ramirez will succeed Schell as coordinator on September 28, and Logan Mackin has been hired as a Monroe Transport Driver.

Schell has served as the Lehigh Valley Transport Coordinator for 11 years after teaching at Northern Lehigh Middle School in Slatington, PA, for 35 years. Schoenberger has been a Transport Driver for six years and has set the single-year organizational record for miles driven in the Lehigh Valley multiple times.

Ramirez has been a Sights for Hope driver for three years. He also has 30 years of work experience in retail sales and management, ministry, and mental health coaching. Mackin is a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School South who has also worked as a digital designer for Brock Construction Group in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Sights for Hope’s guided transport service increases its clients’ access to life-sustaining medical care, food supplies, its programs, and other critical services throughout Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley and Monroe County. Its specially trained drivers provide safe rides, guide clients from their homes and into their destinations with evidence-based techniques, and assist with basic tasks like reading paperwork and carrying bags.

Sights for Hope has approximately 30 employees and professional contractors and 55 volunteers.
