Sights for Hope Announces Record Year-End Donor Campaign Results
Sights for Hope has announced that its 2025 end-of-year donor campaign generated the highest net revenue in the organization’s current era.
The campaign produced a net of $33,896, surpassing the prior year’s high of $30,189. It also resulted in year-over-year increases in the number of donors giving $1,000 or more and the average contribution per donor. These results were driven by a more focused and intentional approach to donor outreach and continued improvements in cost control. Contributions made without solicitation were not included in the campaign total.
The 2025 campaign featured the story of Wendy Smetkowski, a Sights for Hope client whose passion for riding motorcycles helped inspire the organization’s annual Bikers for Sight event after she lost most of her vision. It launched on November 12 and included participation in the Give Day 24-Hour Campaign produced by AllOne Charities on December 2. All campaign proceeds support Sights for Hope’s mission, programs and services.
Sights for Hope is a nonprofit organization that has served Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley since 1928 and Monroe County since 2003. It is dedicated to empowering people to maximize their potential with the eyesight they have. Its programs and services build capabilities and confidence in people who are blind or have visual impairments, equip children to read in kindergarten, and enrich people’s lives with habits that protect their eyesight. Sights for Hope is an independent member of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB) and the multi-national VisionServe Alliance.
Sights for Hope’s current era began in 2010, when Visual Impairment and Blindness Services (VIABL) was consolidated into the organization.
