Sights for Hope’s Lions Campaign Tops $50,000 for Second Straight Year

Sights for Hope’s Lions campaign has exceeded $50,000 for the second straight year, raising $50,130 for 2024-2025 as of June 3.
The annual campaign calls for support from the more than 35 Lions clubs and district organizations in the Lehigh Valley and Monroe County. The campaign is highlighted yearly by the Lions4Sight Breakfast.
This year’s campaign has drawn contributions from 30 organizations, including 29 clubs and Pennsylvania Lions District 14-K. Groups can still take part in this year’s Lions campaign by contributing by June 30.
Sights for Hope traces its inception to efforts by Lions clubs from Lehigh and Northampton counties in 1928. Multiple Lions serve on the Sights for Hope Board of Directors, and Lions volunteer to assist with its pre-kindergarten vision screenings. Sights for Hope sponsors the Lehigh Valley Sights for Hope Lions Club and the Monroe Sights for Hope Lions Club to provide its clients opportunities to serve their communities.
Sights for Hope’s 2023-2024 Lions campaign raised a total of $51,808.
Sights for Hope empowers people to overcome the challenges of vision loss and promotes healthy eyesight throughout Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley and Monroe County. Sights for Hope educates people with limited or no vision about adaptive skills, improves their access to essential services, boosts their confidence and emotional well-being, and helps them obtain assistive devices. Sights for Hope also connects pre-kindergarten children to eye care and teaches people how to keep their eyes strong and safe. Founded in 1928, Sights for Hope is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB) and the national VisionServe Alliance.
