Center for Vision Loss Cancels Songs4Sight, Monroe Focus Breakfast Events

The Center for Vision Loss has canceled its Songs4Sight 2020 concert event and its 2020 Monroe Focus Breakfast in anticipation of continued restrictions on public crowds.

Songs4Sight 2020 – which was to feature Strawberry Fields, the world’s most renowned Beatles tribute band – had been rescheduled for June 25 in the Musikfest Café at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA. The Monroe breakfast was scheduled for June 5 at the St. Luke University Health Network’s Monroe Campus in Stroudsburg, PA. While the agency’s three service counties – Lehigh, Northampton, and Monroe – may be under fewer restrictions on these dates, crowds of 25 or more people will still be banned under state orders.

Presented by Provident Bank, Songs4Sight 2020 was planned to be this year’s largest Center for Vision Loss fundraiser. With the generosity of several event sponsors, the agency projects to gross approximately $15,000 and to incur only a fraction of its anticipated costs. The agency and event partner ArtsQuest intend to book Strawberry Fields for Songs4Sight 2021 next spring. Individual ticket purchases for this year’s show will be refunded by ArtsQuest.
