Sights for Hope Reaffirmed as Best in Class by Statewide Service Results

Sights for Hope’s standing as a best-in-class provider of rehabilitation and prevention services addressing vision loss has been reaffirmed by the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind’s (PAB) latest service results.

Sights for Hope ranked first among the association’s 25 member agencies in PAB-supported client service hours during the 2025-2026 year, tied for first in clients served, third in pre-kindergarten vision screenings conducted, and second in pre-kindergarten children educated. This was the second consecutive year in which Sights for Hope was the only agency to finish in the top three in all four major PAB categories.

Since 2018, Sights for Hope has ranked third or higher in clients served eight times and has topped that category five times. It has ranked second or higher in service hours seven times and has finished first in that category three times. Sights for Hope also has ranked third or higher in screenings six times since 2018 and second or higher in children educated four times.

The rankings reflect programs and services funded fully or in part by PAB, which comprise approximately three-quarters of Sights for Hope’s client and patient services and nearly all its prevention services.

Twenty-five of Sights for Hope’s 27 staff positions deliver programs and services directly. Its Associate Director and Director of Services, Jennifer Pandolfo, has 20 years of social service experience. Since she began leading Sights for Hope’s programs and services, Pandolfo has recruited several of its providers, established hybrid delivery of several programs, created its Transitions program for teens and pre-teens, and developed its Focused Futures partnerships to help families in need obtain eye exams and glasses for their pre-kindergarten children.

PAB is a private association whose independent members serve 66 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties. VisionLink in Philadelphia, PA, is not a PAB member, and its work has focused primarily on connecting people to a network of existing services. Sights for Hope – which serves Lehigh, Northampton, and Monroe counties – has been a PAB member since its inception in 1928.
