Sights for Hope CEO Selected for Syracuse University Management Panel
Sights for Hope Executive Director and CEO Dennis Zehner has been selected for the Marketing Management Engagement Board of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
The engagement board is a group of partners who provide industry knowledge, perspectives, and resources to enhance the student experience, including classroom learning, career readiness, and job placement. Other members include executives and leaders from NBCUniversal, the National Basketball Association (NBA), Amazon, Epic Records, ESPN, IBM, Michelin, Google, Chase, General Motors, Oracle, and Hilton.
The Whitman School of Management enrolls more than 4,000 students and is ranked among the top 40 business schools nationally by Poets&Quants, a leading news site covering business education. Sights for Hope Board Member Steven Savino – a former Assistant Dean of the Lehigh University College of Business – is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Marketing at the Whitman School.
Zehner has served as Executive Director and CEO of Sights for Hope since 2020. He previously held the roles of Director of Advancement (2018-2020) and Associate Director (2019-2020). He has more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including 15 years in marketing, fundraising, and brand strategy. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University, a graduate certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
Sights for Hope is a nonprofit organization that empowers people to maximize their potential however they see the world. Its programs and services build capabilities and confidence in people who are blind or have visual impairments, equip children to read in kindergarten, and enrich people’s lives with habits that protect their eyesight. Sights for Hope has proudly served Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley since 1928 and Monroe County since 2003. It is an independent member of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB) and the multi-national VisionServe Alliance.
