Media Moments: Connection Reflects Sights for Hope’s Individualized Approach

During an appearance on WVIA public radio’s Community Connection feature this week, Sights for Hope Associate Director Jennifer Pandolfo highlighted the organization’s individualized approach to its client and patient services.
Pandolfo, who also is Sights for Hope’s Director of Services, explained that a client can first choose to deal with the emotional aspects of their situation first, immerse themselves in skill building first, or do both. She also explained how its assistive device program features functional optometrist exams that identify the solutions for each client’s specific wishes, whether it is returning to work or simply heating up breakfast in a microwave.
“We let the client decide how they want to approach their journey …. It’s all very individualized and it helps them get to where they want to be to maintain their independence,” Pandolfo said of Sights for Hope’s methods.
Community Connection segments also are available from WVIA’s Community Connections podcast on both Spotify and Apple.
WVIA is based in Pittston, PA, and reaches northeastern Pennsylvania, including Monroe County, where Sights for Hope has served since 2003.
