Sights for Hope Board Elects Two Directors to New Membership Terms

The Sights for Hope Board of Directors elected Nicole Williams, O.D., to a second three-year term on the board and Scott Lohman to an additional two-year term Wednesday during its Annual Meeting.

Williams is the optometrist and owner of Remmel Opticians in Bethlehem, PA, and serves as Board Secretary. Before purchasing Remmel Opticians in 2025, Williams practiced at the Valley Health Partners Community Vision Center in Allentown, PA.

Williams earned her doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA. During her time at Salus, she was an active member of the Salus University Lions Club and served as the club’s President. Williams also helped to invent an educational virtual reality mobile phone application for optometry students that simulates the feeling of standing within a human eyeball.

Lohman is serving a one-year term as the board’s Lions Leadership Director through June – having been District Governor of Pennsylvania Lions District 14-K for 2024-2025. His new two-year term as a Community Director begins on July 1. Lohman also will serve a second term as District 14-K Governor in 2026-2027.

Lohman’s life exemplifies an exceptional personal dedication to serving others. Lohman’s “Delivering Service” theme as District Governor in 2024-2025 was both a reference to his 35-year career with the United States Postal Service, and to his deeply rooted belief that even the smallest acts of service are impactful. One of his initiatives was the district’s Guiding Lion project for senior Lions to guide new clubs and clubs in need of assistance.

Each Pennsylvania District 14-K Governor becomes the board’s Lions Leadership Director automatically at the conclusion of their tenure. District 14-K represents Lions Clubs in Lehigh and Northampton counties, areas from which Lions formed two organizations that evolved to what is known today as Sights for Hope. However, since the 2025-2026 District 14-K Governor, Daniel Lombardo, is the current Treasurer of the Sights for Hope board and because Lohman is already on the board, the Lions Leadership Director position will be vacant for 2026-2027 and 2027-2028.

The Sights for Hope Board of Directors oversees the organization’s operations, holds fiduciary responsibility, and provides strategic direction to ensure fulfillment of its mission.
