Client Programs for November Highlight Great American Traditions

Center for Vision Loss activities in November will enable its clients to take part in some of America’s great traditions.

Clients who wish to cast their general election votes at election precincts on Tuesday, Nov. 3, can schedule a ride from the agency’s transport service by Friday, Oct. 30. All other agency programs will be paused on election day. Monroe County clients will get a second chance to vote later in the month as their NuVisions client group will elect its officers for 2021. November activities also include a Thanksgiving recipe swap and a shopping trip to the Allentown Farmers Market, in Allentown, PA. The farmers market trip is open to agency clients in both the Lehigh Valley and Monroe County.

The Center for Vision Loss has adapted most of its programs and services for remote delivery since the start of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The agency has resumed in-person activities, but most programming will take place remotely through at least the end of the 2020 calendar year. Some in-person programs and activities also include options for participation by phone or videoconferencing.

All programs and activities are listed below. Additional details are available in its November client bulletin. All programs that are not designated for specific groups are open to all clients. The agency will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
