Agency Closes its 2019-2020 Sweepstakes with Expanded June Drawing

The Center for Vision Loss closed its 2019-2020 C. Well Sweepstakes on Wednesday by picking 16 winners in lieu of its canceled April and May drawings.

The agency had not held its monthly drawings since March because its campuses were closed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Five winners are drawn in a typical month.

The 16 sweepstakes winners for June were Robert Beam of Nazareth, PA; Elaine Burgess of Gordonville, PA; Amy Crowe of Macungie, PA; Dolores Falco of Allentown, PA; Helen Hillanbrand of Jim Thorpe, PA; Paul Keller of Allentown, PA; Joan Lauffer of Emmaus, PA; Lois McConnell of Macungie, PA; Terry Murtaugh of Northampton, PA; Donna Price of Alburtis, PA; Judith Sabino of Coopersburg, PA; Janet Salek of Stroudsburg, PA; Shirley Scarantino of Whitehall, PA; Dolores Shafer of Bethlehem, PA; Byrne Turk of Allentown, PA; and Dolores Wiesner of Allentown, PA.

Each winner receives $50, or $100 if they had won previously in this drawing period. Sweepstakes proceeds benefit the agency and its services – which empower people with visual impairments to claim personal independence and promote healthy eyesight throughout Pennsylvania’s Lehigh, Northampton, and Monroe counties.

The 2020-2021 C. Well Sweepstakes begins in July, and tickets have been sent to potential participants. The sweepstakes is open to Pennsylvania residents ages 18 and up, and tickets can be requested by phone at 610.433.6018, Ext. 241. Suggested donations are $10 per ticket, or $50 for six tickets.

Official rules and eligibility requirements are available on the C. Well Sweepstakes webpage. A donation does not increase an entrant’s chance of winning.
