C. Well Bunny Goes to School is Sights for Hope’s signature community education program and an anchor for our prevention services. The program stars our beloved C. Well Bunny character, a playful pre-kindergartner with loads of personality and distinctive orange glasses, which transition into sunglasses in outdoor light. C. Well Bunny Goes to School has been developed with support from the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB).
Program Details
- The C. Well Bunny Goes to School program is suited for children ages 0-6.
- The program, featuring our C. Well Sees Clearly storybook, introduces young children to vision screenings, eye exams, and wearing glasses through C. Well Bunny and his friends. Along the way, children learn that taking care of their eyes can help them enjoy all the things they love to do – with confidence.
- The program is provided with each Sights for Hope pre-kindergarten vision screenings and can be delivered as a standalone presentation.
- C. Well Bunny Goes to School is also provided throughout Pennsylvania by our fellow PAB member agencies.

Background
- C. Well Bunny Goes to School was introduced in 2009 by the former Visual Impairment and Blindness Services (VIABL), which later became part of what is now known as Sights for Hope.
- The program was updated in 2026 with the release of the C. Well Sees Clearly storybook, a specially crafted C. Well puppet by Emmy Award-nominated artist Dallin Blankenship, and redeveloped educational posters.
