Our guided transport service increases our clients’ access to life-sustaining medical care, food supplies, our programs, and other critical services. Our specially trained drivers provide safe rides, guide clients from their homes and into their destinations with evidence-based techniques, and assist with basic tasks like reading paperwork and carrying bags.
Guided Transport Service Details
- Transports are available Monday through Friday by appointment.
- We have four transport vehicles and five drivers who serve in the Lehigh Valley, and four vehicles and five drivers in Monroe County.
- While there is a ticket fee of $7.00 per round trip, no qualified client is denied transport due to financial hardship.
- Each client may take an unlimited number of rides each month to and from agency services and up to three (3) rides monthly for medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other critical needs. Reservations are required at least seven (7) days in advance.
- Cancellations of transports on the day of or the day before scheduled services affect arrangements for other clients and often prevent others from getting needed transports.
- Clients are asked to please limit late cancellations to only unavoidable situations and provide as much notice as possible.
