Sights for Hope receives grants annually from local, regional, and national foundations. We are exceedingly grateful for the impact these organizations make on the lives of people with visual impairments. Foundations that are interested in informing us about grant opportunities are encouraged to contact our Advancement office.

Anonymous
An anonymous organization awarded us a $40,000 operations grant in February 2022. This organization has provided us with unrestricted grants annually since 2013.

United Way Greater Lehigh Valley
United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley has provided us with $26,000 grants annually since 2016 to support our guided transport service in the Lehigh Valley for clients ages 65 and up. United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley has supported our organization throughout our existence.

Hughes Foundation
The R. Dale and Frances M. Hughes Foundation awarded us a $25,000 grant in June 2022 to support our guided transport service in Monroe County during our 2022-2023 year. The foundation has supported our services annually since 2015.

Moses Taylor Foundation
The Moses Taylor Foundation awarded us a $15,000 grant in June 2021 to support our guided transport service in Monroe County. The foundation also awarded us a $16,000 grant in 2018 for upgrades to our Low Vision Care Center in Monroe County.

Trexler Trust
The Harry C. Trexler Trust awarded us a $12,000 grant in September 2021 to our support services for people with visual impairments in Lehigh County. The Trexler Trust has supported our organization over multiple decades.

Stabler Foundation
The Donald B. and Dorothy L. Stabler Foundation awarded us a $12,000 grant in June 2022 to support our guided transport service in the Lehigh Valley. The Stabler Foundation has supported our services since 2018.

Two Rivers Foundation
The Two Rivers Health & Wellness Foundation awarded us a $7,500 grant in February 2022 to support our services for clients in Northampton County. The foundation has supported us annually since 2015.

LVHN Pocono Foundation
The Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Pocono Foundation has awarded us with $20,000 in grants since July 2020. A $6,000 grant was provided ion May 2022 from the Dr. Claus G. Jordan Endowment Fund to support the purchase of assistive technologies for our clients in Monroe County. A $2,000 grant to support our Monroe County operations was awarded in January 2022 from the foundation’s Pocono Holiday Tree Lighting Fund with the Rotary Club of the Smithfields.

Beitel Community Foundation
The Will R. Beitel Children’s Community Foundation awarded us a $6,750 grant in September 2021 to support our children’s vision screenings in Northampton County. The foundation has supported us annually for more than a decade.

Hoch Foundation
The Charles H. Hoch Foundation awarded us a $5,000 grant in December 2021 to support our services for clients in the Lehigh Valley. The Hoch Foundation has supported our services for more than a decade.

Pocono Community Fundraiser
The Pocono Mountains Community Fundraiser (PMCF), administered by AllOne Charities, awarded us a $5,000 grant in November 2021 to support our guided transport service in Monroe County.

Monroe Bar Foundation
The Monroe County Bar Foundation awarded us a $5,000 grant in December 2021 to support our guided transport service in Monroe County.

Air Products Foundation
The Air Products Foundation has provided us $12,000 in support in the form of grants and designated contributions through United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley since 2019.
